JetBlue Is Doubling Down on a Travel Hotspot With New Routes, $49 Fares
JetBlue is expanding with two new year-round routes, and to celebrate the occasion, it is offering one-way fares for $49 for a limited time.
Where Is JetBlue Expanding?
The New York-based airline announced on Tuesday that it will soon offer nonstop routes from Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) to Orlando International Airport (MCO) and Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport (DFW).
The twice-daily routes to Orlando with convenient morning and evening options will begin on May 21. To celebrate the occasion, JetBlue is introducing a limited-time one-way fare starting at $49, but only if you book by Friday, Jan. 9, for travel May 26 to June 30, on select days.
The new twice-daily routes will be popular for Fort Lauderdale and nearby residents who visit Orlando's attractions, including Walt Disney World and Universal Orlando Resort. The quick flight eliminates a roughly three-hour drive.
JetBlue's Dallas Demand
It used to be that JetBlue only flew out of Fort Lauderdale to Dallas during spring break. That will change on March 12 when the airline company offers a daily service year-round.
And get this: JetBlue says that during peak spring break from March 12 to March 23, the company will add a second daily route to meet demand.
"These additions reflect the momentum we’ve built in Florida and our continued investment in Fort Lauderdale as a key gateway in our network," said Dave Jehn, vice president, network planning and airline partnerships at JetBlue, in a statement. "By connecting our focus cities and expanding successful routes, we're giving customers more reasons to choose JetBlue for travel within Florida and beyond."
JetBlue also announced that it's adding two additional daily flights on its existing route between Fort Lauderdale and New York's LaGuardia Airport (LGA). No dates for when the routes are coming were shared.
