Supercomputer predicts Tottenham’s chances of defeating Bournemouth in the Premier League
The Opta Supercomputer has determined how likely Tottenham Hotspur are to record a victory against Bournemouth, as pressure continues to mount on Thomas Frank.
Tottenham Hotspur have been poor at home in the Premier League, but there has been more to smile at during fixtures on the road.
The last time Spurs recorded a victory was at Selhurst Park against Crystal Palace and only Arsenal have a better tally for away games only.
However, Tottenham failed to impress when they travelled to Brentford last week. The match ended 0-0 with the visitors creating very few chances throughout the 90 minutes.
Tottenham have a 42 per cent chance of losing to Bournemouth
The Opta Supercomputer has given its verdict on the upcoming clash between Bournemouth and Spurs and there is anticipation for an even worse result than the Brentford fixture.
Tottenham have been given a 31 per cent chance of defeating Bournemouth, but the hosts have a more convincing 42.3 per cent likelihood of recording a victory.
This is despite the fact that Bournemouth have not taken three points from a game since October, while Spurs have picked up two wins in the past month.
Bournemouth put up a good fight against Arsenal
Tottenham’s North London rivals currently sit top of the Premier League table, but they were challenged by Bournemouth last weekend. Their meeting ended in a 3-2 victory for Arsenal, but it was Bournemouth who had more shots.
On top of this, Andoni Iraoloa’s men have recently taken points off Chelsea on two occasions, as well as drawing 4-4 at Old Trafford in December.
Therefore, even with the hosts of Wednesday’s clash struggling to seal victories, Tottenham are in for another tough battle.
This means Thomas Frank needs to come up with solutions to improve the way his team are playing if he wants to avoid being booed off the pitch for a third successive game.
