Dave Franco Gushes Over Mason Thames After Doing 2 Movies Together
Dave Franco enjoyed working with young co-star Mason Thames, he had to do it twice!
The two actors first starred in the Regretting You movie adaptation, and will next be seen in the upcoming film The Sh-theads, which will premiere at the Sundance Film Festival later this month.
Last fall, Dave dished on what it has been working with Mason on two projects now.

“I had such a great time working with him on [Regretting You] that I roped him into another movie,” he told People.
In The Sh-theads, per Deadline, cynical degenerate Mark (Franco) and bumbling idealist Davis (O’Shea Jackson Jr) have both hit rock bottom. Paired for a job by a shady transport service, their task seems simple: transport Sheridan (Thames), a wealthy troubled teen, to rehab. But Sheridan has other plans and what starts as a simple road trip becomes an unhinged odyssey of drug-fueled disasters, near-death experiences and criminal encounters. Out of their minds and in way over their heads, Mark and Davis find the courage to face their failures and realize that it’s not the destination that matters, it’s the sh*theads you meet along the way.
“It was incredible seeing [Thames] go from this like sweet, earnest, charming guy in [Regretting You], and then arguably the craziest psychopath on screen since Hannibal Lecter in The S—heads,” Dave said.
Mason even looks up to Dave.
“Genuinely I think Dave is, he is my mentor, and I look up to him so much,” he shared. “His work ethic is unlike a lot I’ve seen in my small, tiny little career so far.”
Also starring in The Sh-theads are Kiernan Shipka, Peter Dinklage and Nicholas Braun.
If you missed it, in November, Dave said he was going to “disappear for a while” after Now You See Me 3 premiered.
Mason is also set to return for How to Train Your Dragon 2!
