Fulham’s interest could therefore prove significant. Marco Silva is understood to admire Sterling’s experience, movement and ability to make decisive contributions in the final third.

Sterling remains on substantial wages at Chelsea, meaning any January move could involve a loan arrangement or salary contribution from the Blues.
