Ticket and Matchday Info | Munster v Leinster

We look forward to welcoming you to Thomond Park Stadium on Saturday, December 27th for Munster Rugby v Leinster Rugby (KO 7.45pm).

Tickets

This fixture is sold out. Please do not attend the stadium without a valid match ticket.

The Ticket Office in the East Stand at Thomond Park will be open for matchday queries from 4:45pm.

Please note that the East Cabin will be closed for this fixture. All ticket collections and enquiries will be handled at the main ticket office.

Gates will open at 5:45pm to facilitate access to the stadium.

Get Your Tickets Game Day Ready

Game- day is right around the corner and we want to help provide a few important reminders to make your stadium entry easier. With SafeTix Your Phone Is Your Ticket

  • Sign into your Ticket account https://am.ticketmaster.com/Munster/
  • Tap into ‘My Events’ to view your order.
  • Add your ticket to your phone’s digital wallet, then just tap and go to get in at the gate.
  • Tap and go is now available with Apple Wallet & Google Wallet.
  • Note, barcodes will not be visible once the ticket(s) is added to your Apple Wallet.
  • On Match Day, to access the Stadium simply scan your ticket by holding the back of your smartphone near the NFC reader at the turnstile or scan the rotating barcode (if you have accessed your ticket via Account Manager) at the scanner. It really is that simple!

If you are unable to “Add to Wallet” or your pass is disabled – Don’t worry, you can still scan the rotating\animated barcode within your ticket account at the venue but please remember, screenshots are no longer permitted for access to the stadium.

Heading to the game with friends or family?

Now’s the time to transfer tickets so everyone can enter on their own. You can explore the venue, check out the concessions, and you can meet at your seats.

Welcome Committee

Keep an eye out for our welcome committee around the grounds. They will be wearing bright yellow jackets and will be there to be a friendly face on arrival and assist with any questions you have.

Flags

Munster Rugby Supporter Club members will distribute flags in advance of the game.

Match Programmes

Munster Rugby v Leinster Rugby is our annual charity match. Match programmes will be available for sale on the approach to the stadium turnstiles and also inside the stadium. Programmes are €6 and include a donation to our nominated charities for this season Aware and Limerick Youth Service.

Please note that you will receive a separate teamsheet* upon receiving your match programme. If you are not given one, please request one from your match programme seller.

*Due to commercial printers being closed over Christmas, the matchday programmes were printed before the teams were announced. 

Fanzone

The Guinness Dug Out Bar in the Fanzone is a great pre-match meeting point and you can soak up the atmosphere here. The Guinness Dug Out Bar opens from 5pm. The Guinness Clubhouse Bar at the West Stand will also open from 5pm. There will also be food outlets available here. The Clubhouse Bar will also be open after the match.

The Virgin Media Fanzone will be open from 5pm, test your skills with the passing challenge and see if you can beat your friends in the hang tough challenge. There will be a player appearance in the fanzone from 6:50pm to and our mascot Oscar is looking forward to meeting our younger supporters too.

The Life Style Sports stores will be open at the Stadium, and you have a choice of 2 locations: the main store in the East Stand and the mobile unit at the West Stand, with both open from 5:45pm.

Family Viewing Area – East Terrace

A new Priority Viewing Area has been introduced at the front of the East Terrace to enhance accessibility for families and children. This dedicated space gives priority to young families, ensuring an enjoyable and comfortable match day experience for all.

Bars and Food Concessions

Food pods, bars, and outlets across the stadium will be serving a wide selection of hot food and snacks, including burgers, chicken tenders, fries and confectionery.

New this season: Three Crowns will serve full pizzas (€19) and pizza slices (€5.50). A Family Meal Deal is now available from Munch outlets – 2 Burgers, 6 tenders & chips to feed 4 people for €32 (with the option to add 4 drinks for €12).

Fans can also enjoy Hell’s BBQ, a local vendor serving an array of food options from dressed brat wurst to dressed burgers as well as kids’ options. Hell’s BBQ will be located in the Fanzone (outside the East Stand), South Terrace, and Outside the West Stand.

The 22 Hot Dog will be available at the bars in the stadium for €5.

Additional bars for this fixture:
• An additional self-serve bar will be available on East Level C
• An additional mobile bar will be available on West Level D
• Two additional mobile bars will be located behind the South Terrace
• One additional mobile bar will be located in the North-East corner
Reusable cups are available in the West Stand; there is no charge/deposit to supporters for these reusable cups.

Entertainment

Soloist Jean Wallace will lead us in Stand Up and Fight accompanied by The Cecilian Musical Society, The MRSC Guard of Honour will also be present to welcome the teams onto the pitch. At halftime, we’ll be joined by the U11 teams: Kanturk RFC, Kilfeacle and District RFC and Killarney RFC and Killorglin RFC.

Selfie Wall

With thanks to our friends at Flyshannon.ie, our selfie wall will be in action with return flights to Madrid up for grabs. All you have to do is scan the QR code on screen or in the match day programme and upload your selfie. There will be some Munster Rugby filters for you to use too!

Light Up Thomond Park | Light Show

We are calling on our fans to help us make Thomond Park twinkle on Saturday night by participating in our mobile phone powered Light Show sponsored by Shannon Airport.

Want To Take Part?

• Download the Stadium FX app for iphone here or for android here or via the QR code below, on your mobile phone before arriving at Thomond Park
• Accept the ‘Terms of Use’ and ‘Privacy Policy’ when prompted on screen.
• Follow the on-screen prompts to enable microphone and camera permissions in the app.
• Listen out for an announcement in the stadium that the Light Show is about to begin
• Open the app, point your phone camera towards the pitch, and let us take care of the rest
• The Stadium FX app will synch your mobile phone camera lights and screens to the music.

Traffic and Travel

A sellout crowd is expected at Munster v Leinster and as a result there will be significant traffic delays in the area surrounding Thomond Park. Supporters are encouraged to use public transport or park in the city centre and walk to the stadium.

Road Closures

The following road closures will be in place as part of the Traffic Management Plan.

Road Closures will apply from 17:30 hrs onwards at the following locations:

• Cratloe Road/Shelbourne Rd/Kileely Rd (Hassetts Cross)
• Cratloe Road/Knockalisheen Road
• Cratloe Road/Mayorstone Avenue
• Cratloe Road/Mayorstone Upper (across from Garda Station)
• Cratloe Road/Mayorstone Upper (near roundabout)
• Cratloe Road/Old Cratloe Rd/Brookville Ave (TUS roundabout)
• Shelbourne Road/Mayorstone Drive
• Shelbourne Road/Shelbourne Park
• Shelbourne Road/Shelbourne Avenue
• Shelbourne Road/Farranshone Rd
• Kileely Road/Ballynanty Rd Ennis Road/Lansdowne Park
• Ennis Road/Hazeldene Dr

After Game

The 302-bus service from Henry Street runs every 20 minutes and has a drop off at Thomond Park. Full bus service details see www.buseireann.ie.

Stadium Exit At The End Of The Game

At the end of the game, please exit the stadium via the same doorway that you used for entry.

We ask that all supporters, take their time follow the directions of the stewards when departing the stadium.
