United States, Maryland: Baltimore Police Department detective hospitalized

A Baltimore Police Department detective was hospitalized on Monday evening in the neighborhood of Mid-Govans located in North Baltimore, Maryland, United States. The officer was in stable condition after being hit by a police car at around 5:30pm during a foot chase of a suspect in block 5600 of York Road. Police noted the crash was by accident. The detective has been released from the hospital by Tuesday.
Maryland borders Virginia to its south, West Virginia to the west, Pennsylvania to the north, and Delaware to its east, and the national capital Washington, D.C. district to the southwest.
