‘Evil liberal musician’: Trump Derangement Syndrome cancels Christmas Eve performance
Trump Derangement Syndrome on Christmas Eve took aim at the arts in America, as the longtime host of an annual event, suffering from a “super bad” case, walked out.
The New York Post describes how Chuck Redd, a jazz musician who long has been part of the annual Christmas Eve event at the newly renamed Trump-Kennedy Center, refused to participate.
“When I saw the name change on the Kennedy Center website and then hours later on the building, I chose to cancel our concert,” the TDS sufferer explained.
No one expressed disappointment at missing Redd.
Trump charged Redd with having a “super bad” case of TDS.
It was just before guests were supposed to be in their seats that Redd tried to disarrange a longtime Christmas Eve event.
Online, Redd took heat.
“You can cancel your show, but all you’ve accomplished is cancelling yourself,” wrote one of dozens of detractors on X. “The disappointment falls on you, not the Trump-Kennedy Center or the President. You’re just a performer who can easily be replaced.”
This is jazz musician Chuck Redd, who hosts the annual Kennedy Center Christmas Eve jazz concert. He called off the event after Trump made a move to change the name of the historic venue.
TDS really got the best of him.
2026 is shaping up to be incredible.

An evil Liberal musician cancelled Christmas last nite at the Trump Kennedy Center because of the name change. Kamala didn’t want us to say Merry Christmas. Biden made a White House Xmas for freaks. So let’s thank Santa for the gift of Trump. Merry Christmas! Christ is King. pic.twitter.com/8fWGpQgfEg

Another observer took the opportunity to vent.
“What a piece of garbage. Cancelling a concert because of TDS instead of allowing people to celebrate the holidays and enjoy a performance . I hope everyone that attends any future concerts of yours – chooses the [sic] BOYCOTT YOU.”
A military veteran who confirmed working for six presidents, even though he disagreed with some of them, said, “It’s men like you that make this country weak because you took the easy path and the one that gave you the attention you crave. A pathetic man acting like a child.”
The board of the center, chaired by President Trump, voted to change the name only a week ago, causing a disruption in the lives of many leftists.
The center’s statement itself said, “The unanimous vote recognizes that the current Chairman saved the institution from financial ruin and physical destruction. The new Trump Kennedy Center reflects the unequivocal bipartisan support for America’s cultural center for generations to come.”
