Redacting Our Reality, One Epstein at a Time
Another Lucy with the football moment has occurred in the United States. Less than 1% of the Epstein file information has been released, and what was offered to the public emptied out all the black ink cartridges in the greater DC area. This, in a long line of dashed liberal dreams, whether it be Special Counsel investigations, the hope of criminal charges when new administrations come in…any number of just wait a bit and your patience will be rewarded aspirations.
But the thing is, this day of reckoning just never seems to materialize. This realization only lands after countless hours, days and weeks are spent waiting for Daddy to come home and make it right. By the time this is understood, a new hope is on the horizon—perhaps an unrigged primary, a new set of possible criminal charges for war crimes. This time will be different, they think.
This is the way most human minds seem to work. If you aren’t getting justice today, just wait. It will show up eventually., You will be rewarded in the afterlife or perhaps post-midterms. Just not today.
The fact that an inordinate number of women have come forward to tell of their horrific experiences when they were children doesn’t seem to be enough for many to believe. There have been lives ruined by the activities of a small group of entitled and deranged men. The Venn diagram intersects in all the wrong places. Intelligence agencies, genocidal governments—they all seem to play into this disgusting drama. At this point, it takes an actual conspiracy theorist to fail to connect the dots to the life-draining misery going on planet-wide. The common theme is stealing the autonomy of others and placing oneself above all others, including the health of the planet. No wonder they enjoy terrorizing children. These are the same people who take delight in stealing land, in ruining natural environments. They are nothing but a death drive, seeking to feel alive by siphoning off what is good and natural in the world for a temporary thrill. Deep down, they know they lack a soul, but that doesn’t stop them from ignoring that fact, attempting to fill the void with entitled and sick behavior.
How many of you have gotten a teaching job at a prestigious place of learning without a degree? How many of you have had mansions sold to you for one dollar from the dude who owns Victoria’s Secret? These are all moments in the life of Epstein. We’ve all gotten sick of seeing his leering mug staring at us over and over. This man is an example of the system and the rot within. A normal functioning society would not allow for such a human to assume such power. A society without a large number of pedophilic sociopaths at the top would not have been so vulnerable to a man such as this. A healthy society without poverty-stricken girls wanting to pay for braces, to obtain cancer care for their mother—this victim pool wouldn’t have been so deep. And without vile intelligence agency tactics of kompromat, the web couldn’t have become so tangled and interconnected.
The proof is already out there. It was there when Donald Trump said he walked into teen beauty pageants to leer at naked girls. These people have said who they are. Believe them. Only sexual cases place the burden of proof on the very victims themselves, even when they were children. If you have an aversion to believing one person, look at the sheer numbers of women making the same types of statements. This has been going on for decades and many people in places of power looked away or actually took part in the sadism.
The very reliance on an outside entity to say “yes it’s okay to believe” is part and parcel of how such a thing could even occur. So many individuals over the years equated obscene wealth with responsible behavior. If you had a 50-year-old man in your neighborhood having children come to his home to give him “massages”, would you not realize the depravity of it? Of course, you would, but the sheer number of those at the top of our society that either looked away in the hopes that they might get funding or actively took part should bring one to a place of horror, with or without heavily redacted files. A society without clear morals and a Puritan equation of wealth=God’s favor is certainly a recipe for disaster.
Don’t get me wrong, the fact that we have a Justice Department that behaves in such a manner is grotesque, but to simply feel a need to wait for some sort of clear-cut evidence from the den of perpetrators is pretty much madness. It seems like what is really happening now is that people are insulted that the pretense is gone. At least tell me it’s raining when you dump piss on my head from a balcony kind of thing.
It would be wonderful to have some sort of closure for these victims and for the perpetrators to find justice. It would be glorious to see consequences for the very people who commit these acts. They continue to find monetary reward in exploiting young girls, the economy, the earth.
It certainly is all connected. As Daniel Quinn would say, they are the “takers” of this society. Sometimes it’s difficult for decent people to truly understand the wolves in their midst (sorry, that saying really isn’t fair to wolves), but anyway– the masses fall back, behaving like children, waiting for permission and approval from the very abusers that act as our parasites.
The only time we see a crack in the edifice is when there is infighting among the very wealthy. This doesn’t even seem to be happening with this issue. Simply too many of these people are of the inclination to commit these types of crimes or to look aside if the behavior benefits them.
We don’t need permission to use our own faculties to understand what is happening. It’s not complicated and we don’t need an authority figure to allow us to come to perfectly rational conclusions. The rot is widespread, and nothing will change the fact that the current system is one of exploitation.
The question isn’t when will the perpetrators give us the evidence we need; the question is when will we simply trust ourselves and use clear eyes when we witness predators doing what predators do? And what will we do about it?
