Roller coaster enthusiasts and thrill ride junkies are already salivating as 2026 is shaping up as a very good year for new rides and attractions at theme parks around the world.

Consider our Top 10 for 2026 an evolving and ever-changing list of the best new rides and attractions coming to theme parks around the globe in the coming year.

Many parks have already begun construction on 2026 projects while other parks have only announced plans or launched teaser campaigns.

We’ll update our Top 10 list for 2026 as new rides and attractions are unveiled and more details become available.

1) Six Flags Qiddiya

Saudi Arabia

The $1 billion Six Flags Qiddiya in Saudi Arabia will kick off 2026 with a lineup of eight new coasters — including the fastest, tallest and longest ride in the world.

The first Six Flags park designed and built from the ground up outside North America will debut on Dec. 31, 2025 outside the capital city of Riyadh.

The roller coaster record books will be completely reshuffled when Falcons Flight debuts as the fastest (155 mph), tallest (640 feet) and longest (13,944 feet) coaster in the world.

Beyond the eight coasters, the new Six Flags park will feature 20 more rides and attractions in six themed lands.

The lineup includes the world’s tallest drop tower along with a pendulum swing, log flume and two dark rides.

2) Disney Adventure World

Disneyland Paris Resort

France

Disneyland Paris will once again try to get its second park right after decades of misfires with a $2.5 billion makeover that will add Frozen and Lion King lands, a new entry promenade and an aquatic drone spectacular around a central lake.

The World of Frozen themed land will debut on March 29 when the Disneyland Paris theme park resort in France officially rechristens the Walt Disney Studios Park as Disney Adventure World.

The Adventure Way entry promenade, Adventure Bay central lake, “Cascade of Lights” nighttime spectacular, Rapunzel’s Tangled Spin ride and 14 eateries will also debut on March 29 with the transformation of Disney Adventure World.

3) Vidanta World

Vidanta World’s new Beauty of Nature theme park will open in fall 2026 in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, with 23 attractions from ridemakers like Vekoma, Intamin, Mack, Zamperla, Zierer and Brogent Technologies.

The ride lineup will include five roller coasters along with a drop tower, boat ride, flying theater, gondola lift system, eccentric wheel and spirit animal carousel.

The first-of-its-kind Tecuani Beast coaster will reach a top speed of 65 mph as riders navigate six inversions and 13 airtime moments over a 3,900-foot-long track.

The entertainment lineup will include a light and fountain show on Wonder Bay and the “Ludo” water-themed dinner show from Cirque du Soleil set inside a wrap-around aquarium.

4) Valgard: Realm of the Vikings

A new $16 million Viking themed land coming to Paultons Park theme park in the United Kingdom will invite warriors to face the wrath of dragons with a pair of intertwined roller coasters set amid a Nordic-themed village.

The new Valgard: Realm of the Vikings themed land will debut on May 16 at Paultons Park about 2 hours southwest of London.

Valgard will feature two coasters, a gondola swing, Viking-themed playground, Nordic-themed restaurant and a hotel.

The new dragon-themed Drakon coaster with a beyond-vertical first drop will feature a zero-G stall and 270-degree roll with a downward dive, according to Roller Coaster Database.

5) Double Heart Coaster

A visually striking Double Heart roller coaster with an extremely compact and vertically-oriented footprint will pack a lot of thrills into a tight space when it opens in 2026 in South Korea.

The new Giant Revolution debuting in 2026 at Lotte World Adventure Busan theme park will be the world’s first Double Heart compact vertical coaster built by Italy-based Zamperla.

Lotte World’s Giant Revolution starts with a forward-backward-forward triple launch that will catapult riders 68 mph to the top of the 164-foot-tall dual heart-shaped structure.

A twisting vertical first drop will take riders through an Immelmann inversion and a dive loop along with moments of extreme airtime over 1,800 feet of track, according to RCDB.

6) Hooghmoed

Netherlands

Efteling will add two new family attractions and revamp its marquee arena show in 2026.

The new Hooghmoed junior drop tower will be themed as a tandem attraction to the Baron 1898 roller coaster. Riders will serve as chimney sweeps in Baron Gustave Hooghmoed’s haunted mine.

The “Raveleijn” show will undergo a complete transformation in 2026 with a new storyline and special effects.

Efteling will also add the new Raven flying ride just outside the Raveleijn outdoor arena that will let riders soar on the wings of ravens.

7) Aviktas

Blackpool Pleasure Beach

United Kingdom

The new Aviktas pendulum swing coming to Blackpool Pleasure Beach in 2026 will tower over the former Bowl-a-drome area of the United Kingdom waterfront amusement park.

The 40-seat Gyro Swing by Liechtenstein-based ridemaker Intamin will swing to a height of 138 feet.

8) Storm Wave

Liseberg

Sweden

The new Storm Wave coming to Sweden’s Liseberg theme park in summer 2026 will be built by ridemaker Art Engineering of Germany.

The 48-foot-tall Art Engineering Wild Swing will be similar to a Top Spin without the rollover gondola — making it more of a family attraction than a thrill ride.

9) Cornwall Coaster

Hansa Park

Germany

The new Cornwall Coaster coming to the Enchanting Britain themed area of Hansa Park will feature three forward and three backward launches.

The Gerstlauer family coaster will reach a top speed of 31 mph over a 1,870-foot-long track.

Roller Coaster Database expects the Cornwall Coaster will travel the route twice, using a switch track or station turntable similar to the FirleFranz coaster at Germany’s Bayern Park or the Defi du Dragon coaster at France’s Jardin d’Acclimatation.

10) Bluey Roller Coaster

Alton Towers

United Kingdom

The new Bluey roller coaster coming to Alton Towers is being billed as the world’s first ride dedicated to the star of the most-watched television series in the world.

“Bluey” is an Australian children’s TV series about a 6-year-old puppy named Bluey and her family, neighbors and school friends who invent elaborate games to play in each episode of the Peabody- and Emmy-winning animated show.

The Bluey coaster by Germany-based ridemaker Zierer will debut in spring 2026 in the CBeebies Land at Alton Towers. The Zierer Force junior coaster will be similar to the Dragon coasters found at many Legoland theme parks.

Bluey will be making a big push into theme parks in 2026.

“Bluey’s Best Day Ever” will debut March 22 in Disneyland’s Fantasyland Theatre. Bluey will host games at Disney’s Animal Kingdom in summer 2026.
