Southern Charm's Venita Aspen Reveals Hours-Long Date With Summer House's Carl Radke

The Southern Charm and Summer House dating crossover may be happening again!

Venita Aspen, one of the stars of Southern Charm, has opened up about going on a date with fellow Bravo star Carl Radke from Summer House.

“We have now gone on one date, which is very nice,” she shared on the Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast. “We went to [Carl's non-alc bar and cafe] Soft Bar, of course, first and I got to see that whole experience. Then, we went to dinner at a Mexican restaurant around the corner.”

Venita revealed that they “shut the place down” and “had to be asked to leave” after spending hours at the second location.

“I think it lasted for almost five hours. We were together, the whole day, for about five hours,” she added, sharing that the date was two weeks before recording the podcast.

How did they meet? Their mutual friend and Carl‘s co-star Ciara Miller!

“I feel like what really kind of sparked everything is when we did NBC Upfronts last year, there was a photo of us and our hands were just touching,” she remembered. “Mind you, I never really thought anything about him until that moment. Then the internet blew it up.”

Venita was also asked about Carl‘s sobriety, which is very much okay with and even checked in with him if he cared that she drank.

“I literally texted him before we went on the date, and I was like, ‘Hey, like are you OK with if I drink?’” she said. “He was like, ‘Well, first of all, no one’s ever asked me that.’ I’m fine to not drink, and if someone’s trying to date someone or get to know someone better, they might not want their partner to drink. I was just like, ‘Oh, let me ask.’”

She added, “I had one margarita that lasted me the whole night. I was like, ‘Let me just make sure I drink slow.’ I don’t want to drink too much [and] make a fool of myself.”

Previously, other Summer House and Southern Charm stars dating each other include, of course, Paige DeSorbo and Craig Conover, as well as Ciara and Austen Kroll. Plus a little something between Carl‘s ex Lindsay Hubbard and Austen, though they never formally dated.
