Amazon and Walmart Recall 11 Products After Defects Create Injury Risks - Including a Children’s Toy
On December 22, 2025, USA Today published an article revealing that the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has ordered that several products sold by Walmart and Amazon are to be recalled. The outlet reported that the recall decisions had been made because each product contains defects that could create a risk of injury or death, especially to children. Thankfully, the report also stated that there haven't been any reported injuries that were caused by any of the affected products.
The products that are being recalled fall under several different shopping categories. That said, many consumers may be especially interested in learning about the children's toy and a kid's safety device that are included on the list.
Why the Meaicezli Play Purse Set and Schwinn Ovation Bicycle Child Carrier Are Being Recalled
According to USA Today's report, the Meaicezli Play Purse Sets, which were sold by Amazon, are being recalled out of concerns related to the toy tablet and cell phone that come included. The reason for the recall is that it is believed that those two products use "a button or coin battery inside" that can be easily accessed and swallowed by children. On top of posing a choking hazard, the battery could cause internal chemical burns or even death if swallowed.
Anyone who purchased the Meaicezli Play Purse Set are being asked to adhere to the following instructions immediately. "Stop playing with the toy purse, and take the cellphone and tablet away from children. Email a photograph, confirming the disposal of the phone and writing tablet to meaicezli-services@outlook.com."
Another product that was meant to be used with kids that is being recalled is the Schwinn Ovation Bicycle Child Carrier. Sold by Amazon and the Schwinn Bikes website, the carrier's buckle, which is supposed to keep children safe, can accidentally release, posing a fall risk. Anyone who has bought the product is being asked to "Immediately stop using and contact Pacific Cycle at customerservice@pacific-cycle.com for a full refund."
9 More Products Are Also Being Recalled
As a part of USA Today's aforementioned article, the outlet listed the following 9 products that are all being recalled by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. The next recalled product is the Jokosis Portable Bed Rail, which was sold by Amazon. The bed rail has been deemed to be dangerous because it can entrap users, including between the product and their mattress, and that could lead to death through asphyxiation. Customers are asked to follow these instructions: "Stop using the bed rails immediately. Write "RECALLED" on the upper and lower rails with a permanent marker and take a photo, sending it to jokosisbedrailrecall@outlook.com. Dispose of the bed rails."
The Blue Wave Above-Ground Pool which has been sold by Home Depot, Lowe's, Dunham's Sports, Amazon, Walmart.com, and Wayfair, is also being recalled. The pool comes with straps on the side, which children could use to climb into it unsupervised, which creates a drowning risk. Customers are asked to follow these instructions: "Contact Blue Wave to request a free repair kit. In the meantime, ensure children cannot access the pool or drain the pool until the repair is installed."
The SereneLife Above-Ground Pool is being recalled after being sold by Amazon, Walmart.com, Wayfair, Target.com, and the SereneLife website. Similarly, it has straps on the outside that pose a climbing and drowning risk for kids. Customers are asked to follow these instructions: Stop using the pool and contact SereneLife for a full refund. Send photos of the pool to recall@serenelifehome.com.
The KKL Fabric 9-Drawer Dresser, which was sold by Amazon, is being recalled because it is unstable when not anchored to a wall. Customers are asked to follow these instructions: "Stop using it immediately, if not anchored to the wall. Submit photos of the dresser to Furnulem at support@furnulem.com to receive a full refund."
The Feel The Beard Minoxidil Beard Growth Oil for Men is being recalled after being sold by Amazon because it contains the chemical minoxidil. That chemical can cause injury or death if ingested, so products that contain it require child-resistant packaging, and this one doesn't have that. Customers are asked to follow these instructions: "Immediately stop using and keep out of reach of children. Contact Feel The Beard by email at ziyad@feelthebeard.com for instructions on how to destroy the bottle and receive a replacement."
The Mamisan Pain Relieving Topical Ointment is being recalled after being sold by Walmart.com and Target because it contains the chemical lidocaine. That chemical can also cause injury or death, which is why it requires child-resistant packaging, and this product is being recalled for not having that. Customers are asked to follow these instructions: "Immediately stop using and keep out of reach of children. Contact Plantimex at customercare@plantimexusa.com (with the subject line "RECALL") to receive a free replacement lid."
