VIDEO OF THE DAY
According to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Biffle's private Cessna Citation plane crashed while attempting to land at Statesville Airport. There were seven people on board, including the racer's wife, Christina, his 14-year-old daughter, Emma, and his 5-year-old son, Ryder.
The plane reportedly departed Statesville Airport at 10:00 a.m. and was headed to Sarasota (the company was flying to a friend's birthday party). After flying about five miles, the crew decided to turn back for unknown reasons.

Witnesses at a nearby golf club said the plane was flying “too low” before it crashed. The plane never climbed higher than 2,000 feet. The Cessna crashed near the runway during an emergency landing attempt.

The crash is under investigation. Among the factors that could have led to the tragedy, difficult weather conditions are being considered. It is noted that there was low cloud cover and very poor visibility. In addition, light rain, which turned into a heavy downpour at the time of the accident, could also have had an impact.
We should add that Greg Biffle became the champion of the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series in 2000 and triumphed in the NASCAR Nationwide-2002. He also won the “silver” in the NASCAR Sprint Cup-2005 – the highest series of races in this class. He spent 12 seasons in the Sprint Cup alone. He had 381 starts to his credit, in which the American won 19 victories and 84 times got into the top five. In 2023, Biffle was included in the number of the 75 greatest racers in NASCAR history.
By the way, last year, Greg Biffle flew hundreds of humanitarian flights on his plane after Hurricane Helen in the USA, for which he received the NMPA Myers Brothers Award-2024.
Previously, “FACTS” reported that the beautiful racing driver died six months before her wedding.
