£18m dream midfield solution waiting for PL transfer, Man United must sign him now

Manchester United already have a solution to their midfield problems in the winter transfer window.

Ruben Neves has declined a new contract offer at Saudi Arabian outfit Al-Hilal.

They are now looking to sell Neves next month rather than risk seeing him walk away for free in July.

The Saudi side are ready to offload him at a bargain price of £18 million, with many believing the fee could be driven even lower as they are in a weak negotiating position.

Neves is also interested in returning to the Premier League.

Injuries to Bruno Fernandes and Kobbie Mainoo have left United in a full-blown midfield crisis.

He also has rich experience of English football, having made 253 appearances during his six-year stay at Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The Portuguese international has an exceptional range of passing and could be used as a number six or a number eight.

If Neves agrees to lower his wages, United could make a serious push to bring him to Old Trafford.

He could prove to be a solid backup option, especially with United keen to break the bank for one of their prime midfield targets in the summer.
