Meghan Markle & Prince Harry Release 2025 Family Holiday Card — & It Features One Big Difference From Kate Middleton & Prince William’s
Merry Christmas from the Sussexes! Meghan Markle and Prince Harry just released their 2025 family holiday card, and we couldn’t help but notice how different it is from Kate Middleton and Prince William’s family photo this year.
The As Ever founder posted the new picture on Friday, featuring their kids Prince Archie, 6, and Princess Lilibet, 4. The candid photo was taken in a beautiful outdoor area, surrounded by sun-dappled trees, as the family hangs out on a small bridge. Prince Harry is dressed casually in a white button-down shirt and jeans, as Archie gives him a big hug around the waist, also dressed in jeans with a cream-colored sweater with navy elbow patches. Prince Harry has one hand caressing his son’s face and the other “booping” his nose in the heartwarming father-son moment.
Markle, dressed in a white sleeveless dress, leans down to touch foreheads with Lilibet, who is wearing a pretty light blue dress with long socks and gold-and-black flats. Her messy red hair is around her face, and her fingers are intertwined with her mom’s in the sweet pose.
“Happy Holidays! From our family to yours,” Markle captioned the photo, which is more relaxed and candid than the Waleses’ holiday photo.
The Prince and Princess of Wales shared their family Christmas card last week as well, which was taken in a field of daffodils. Middleton and William smile on the grass with their kids Prince George, 12, Princess Charlotte, 10, and Prince Louis, 7.
The photo, taken in April 2025, featured William in a green sweater with a blue-collared shirt underneath, Prince Louis with a green sweater over a collared shirt as well, Princess Charlotte with a green sweater and blue plaid scarf, Prince George with jeans and a white plaid button-down shirt under a brown vest, and Middleton with a sweater over a collared shirt. Everyone was perfectly posed next to each other and smiling for the camera.
“Wishing everyone a very Happy Christmas,” the post was captioned.
Earlier this month, Markle revealed some of her kids’ Christmas traditions on an episode of her Netflix show, With Love, Meghan. The Duchess of Sussex was filmed making a cinnamon star and baby quiches, which is similar to something she might make on Christmas morning.
“I love the tradition of a Christmas morning brunch — I do it every year with my family,” she says in the episode. Markle also has fabric advent calendars embroidered with her kids’ names, which she fills with treats leading up to Dec. 25.
In a 2024 interview with Marie Claire, Markle shared more about this time of year. “I love the holidays,” she said, adding that “every year it gets better” wjth her kids.
“At first, I think as a mom with children you’re just enjoying having them there, but they’re not understanding everything that’s happening yet,” Markle explained. “But now we’re at the age where I just can’t wait to see it through their lens every year.”
She added, “Every single holiday is a new adventure.”
