Road safety campaign to be launched for Christmas period
The Road Safety Council on Monday announced the launch of a road safety campaign, reminding the public to pay particular attention to using seatbelts, avoid drunk driving and speeding during the holidays.
The campaign was deemed necessary by the transport department, saying Cyprus faced serious challenges in regard to road safety, calling for increased awareness in view of increased commuting and relaxed driving behaviour during the holidays.
