Zirkzee impressed by Roma but Manchester United still blocking Serie A return
Roma are still pursuing a January deal for former Bologna forward Joshua Zirkzee, and though the Dutchman has shown an interest, the Giallorossi are still lacking an agreement with Manchester United according to the latest updates.
Roma still attempting to convince United into letting Zirkzee leave
Roma are hoping to add to their attacking department during the January transfer window and have been linked with moves for both Zirkzee and Italy international Giacomo Raspadori among others.
The 24-year-old has only started in four of Manchester United’s 17 Premier League fixtures so far this season, and those outings were largely due to injuries elsewhere.
According to the latest updates from Sky Sport DE’s Florian Plettenberg, Zirkzee is ‘impressed’ by the proposal that Roma have presented.
However, as things stand, Manchester United have not given their approval, which means that the path is still blocked for Roma at the moment.
The Giallorossi’s interest has been described as ‘concrete’, however, they are not the only interested party heading into the January transfer window.
