Gourmet toast spot Toastique opens in Porter Ranch
For those who like their toasts on the fancy side, a gourmet toast spot has opened in Porter Ranch this month, continuing the expansion of a franchise chain founded by a former Division 1 collegiate cheerleader Brianna Keefe.
A new Toastique, which serves gourmet toasts, smoothies, cold-pressed juices, açaí bowls, craft coffee and other health-focused items, opened Dec. 13 at 20101 Rinaldi St. The chain aims to provide healthier quick-serve alternatives.
The latest location will serve signature items like the Avocado Smash with watermelon radish and marinated tomatoes; the Smoked Salmon plus the PB Crunch Toast, made with Honey roasted peanut butter, bananas, strawberries, blueberries, berry jam, granola, peanuts, honey drizzle and mint on walnut raisin toast.
Toastique also serves bowls like the Mango Tango, which is a blend of mango, pineapple, lime, agave and coconut water with a drizzle of honey, plus the Dragonberry Bowl, which mixes pitaya (dragon fruit), mango, agave, strawberry and coconut water.
The Porter Ranch spot joins more than 50 Toastique locations now open nationwide. Other local restaurants include eateries in Chino Hills, South Park and Balboa Island.
