Planned Parenthood Abortion Clinic Injures Third Woman in Botched Abortion

Barely a month after double emergencies in a single day, Planned Parenthood’s highly-touted claim of “safe” care crumbles again—following a third medical emergency at its Providence facility in Rhode Island.

On November 4, 2025, pro-life eyewitnesses observed emergency responders on the scene of the local Planned Parenthood, located at 175 Broad Street, after a woman was reportedly injured. According to eyewitnesses, a fire truck and an ambulance arrived at the abortion center, after which a woman was taken away for further medical care at a nearby hospital. The exact nature of her injuries and the circumstances surrounding the emergency remain unknown, as both Planned Parenthood and state authorities refuse to provide transparency or answers.

The Operation Rescue team promptly sought public records to determine what happened and how this emergency was connected to abortion complications. However, under Rhode Island’s restrictive law, requests for the audio recording of 911 calls are denied. Instead, authorities released a Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) report, which—in most states or localities—is supposed to retain the medical complications that required emergency services for public health statistics and accountability, while also keeping patient names and other personal information private. However, in this case, not only was personal information redacted, but the medical complications were also redacted, concealing critical details that would explain why emergency services were dispatched and the physical state of the patient.

Rhode Island’s prohibition on the disclosure of 911 audio recordings has far-reaching consequences beyond this single incident. This law prevents citizens, organizations, and families from accessing firsthand accounts of emergencies that occur in facilities like Planned Parenthood’s, effectively blocking meaningful public oversight. In addition, the heavily-redacted CAD transcript showing only the skeleton of date, time, and dispatch, raises further concerns about the welfare of the public in general and women in particular within Rhode Island.

The point of emergency records being public and open for request or inspection, with personal identifying information redacted, is for all citizens and any potential patients to be aware and informed about the possible dangers or history of emergency situations at medical facilities, to allow for accurate statistics and transparency on health emergencies, and to hold medical providers accountable to the public.

“When details are hidden behind redactions and denied records, it becomes nearly impossible for the public to hold powerful corporations like Planned Parenthood accountable and to evaluate claims of safety made by abortion providers. What should be a tool for transparency instead becomes a shroud of secrecy,” says Troy Newman, President of Operation Rescue.

In an effort to uncover the truth, Operation Rescue also attempted to locate radio dispatch records that might shed light on the emergency response that assisted the injured woman. Despite these efforts, no archive or accessible record was made available.

This pattern of secrecy is deeply troubling. Time and again, abortion facilities rely on legal loopholes and redactions to shield themselves from accountability when women are injured or even killed. Without transparency, the public is left to wonder, “What happened to this woman, and why are officials hiding the details?”

Newman adds, “Operation Rescue maintains that women deserve full disclosure about the risks associated with abortion and the true safety record of facilities like Planned Parenthood. When emergencies occur and information is withheld—not just from pro-life advocates, but from the public at large—it undermines trust and raises serious concerns about patient safety and regulatory oversight.

“The cause of the November 4 emergency remains unknown—but the silence surrounding it speaks volumes. Operation Rescue will continue to seek answers and to stand for the public’s right, and especially a woman’s right, to know the truth about what happens behind the closed doors of abortion facilities.”
