'Ned’s Declassified' Child Actor Tylor Chase Found Homeless in LA, Mom Speaks Out as Videos Go Viral

Tylor Chase is living in Los Angeles unhoused, and his situation is getting attention online.

The 36-year-old former child actor, who played Martin Qwerly in the Nickelodeon TV show Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide from 2004 through 2007, was found living on the streets in a video that has since gone viral on social media.

In one clip that’s gone viral, Tylor is asked whether he used to be on The Disney Channel, to which he says “Nickelodeon,” clarifying both his name and the popular series.

Fans launched a GoFundMe campaign following other viral videos posted by user @lethallalli to help supply the actor with basic necessities, but the fundraiser was ended by his own mother’s request, who claimed that he needs medical assistance, not money, and is having a hard time dealing with financial issues.

The TikTok user shared the text message exchange.

“Yes, Tylor needs medical attention not money. But he refuses it. I appreciate your effort. But money would not be a benefit to him. I have gotten him several phones, but he loses them within a day of two. He can’t manage money or his meds by himself….it could possibly hurt him…he is a good sweet kid. But he does need medical help,” Tylor‘s mother said in the exchange.

The TikTok user has since shared updates providing Tylor with basic care and giving updates about his wellbeing.

His co-stars also addressed the situation earlier in the year on their podcast, Ned’s Declassified Podcast Survival Guide.

“When I first saw it, I was angry because I’m like, why put a camera in someone’s face when they’re on hard times? But then after I was angry at the people who were filming it, I was upset with myself in that I feel powerless because I feel like there’s not much I can do,” they reflected.
