Flood watch in place for Malibu for Tuesday and Wednesday caused by substantial downpours

On Monday at 5:51 a.m. a flood watch was released by the National Weather Service valid from Tuesday 4 p.m. until Wednesday Dec. 24, at 10 p.m. for Malibu.

According to the NWS Los Angeles/Oxnard CA, “Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible.”

“Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations,” according to the NWS. “You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared to take action should flooding develop.”
