Local restaurants have delicious ways to ring in the New Year
Gather your friends and celebrate the beginning of 2026 at one of the many local restaurants offering various ways to toast the New Year.
Los Gatos
Epernay Champagne Bistro celebrates the end of 2025 early, on Sunday, Dec. 28, 6:30-8:30pm, with Tsar Nicolai caviar, a selection of Champagnes and passed small bites. $115 per person.
Forbes Mill Steakhouse is open both New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day for dinner.
Gardenia will offer a four-course pre fixe New Year’s Eve for $115 per person, along with live music. First course choices are clam chowder or beets and burrata; second course is chicken liver mousse, Nantucket scallops or Korean fried cauliflower; third course entrees are prime rib ($15 black truffle supplement), mushroom carbonara, chicken roulade and pan-seared Corvina, and dessert is Banana’s Foster crepe or chocolate bread pudding with bourbon sauce. Extended brunch until 3:30pm on New Year’s Day. No dinner service New Years Day.
Teleferic Barcelona Los Gatos presents A Night of Tapas, Paella and Celebration on Dec. 31. From 3 p.m. until closing, enjoy a special menu along with the regular menu.
The Tasting House offers a five-course $185 prix fixe menu, featuring Chef Julian Silvera’s creativity (oysters, truffle risotto and more) with champagne ($100) or wine ($75) pairings.
The Heritage Chop House will serve the regular dinner menu until 6:45 p.m. A New Year’s Eve buffet will begin at 9:30 p.m., with crab legs, shrimp and fresh oysters, and a carving station with prime rib, ham, turkey and mincemeat pie, plus a Champagne toast and dancing after 10:30 p.m. Non-buffet guests can enjoy live and DJ music and bottle service beginning at 9 p.m. for $50 cover charge, including a Champagne toast and a midnight surprise. The Lexington House will offer a four-course dinner on New Year’s Eve, 6-9:30 p.m., starting at $129 per person. Begin with amuse bouche, choose oysters or Argentinian prawns, then pear salad or cornbread. Entrees include short ribs, wild king salmon and casarecce pasta with pistachio pesto, burrata and raw sushi-grade shrimp. For dessert, poached pear and ice cream, tiramisu or Basque cheesecake.
Lelé Kitchen will be open 4:30-8:30 p.m. on New Year’s Eve, offering a five-course menu by Chef Ulad Skoblia starting at $155, with wine pairings starting at $69, selected by advanced sommelier Fedar Kamkou.
Saratoga
Chef Peter Armellino at Plumed Horse serves up a menu of classics and recent favorites on New Year’s Eve, 5-9:30 p.m. for $295 per person, including Champagne to begin. In lieu of a tip or gratuity, a 22% service charge will be applied to all purchases.
Campbell
Be. Steak. A. in Campbell presents a Grand Gala Buffet on New Year’s Eve, with caviar, oysters, prime rib, music and a photo booth for $238.80 per person, with prepaid reservations available on OpenTable.
Naschmarkt Campbell offers a pre-fixe three course dinner for $95, featuring options like homemade pretzel, bratwurst, chicken pot pie, jager schnitzel and vanilla souffle or apple strudel to finish.
San Jose
Oveja Negra at Hotel Valencia on Santana Row will offer a four-course dinner with seatings at 6 and 9 p.m., with music, dancing and casino games. $265.
LB Steak will be open from 11:30 a.m.-10 p.m., serving the regular all-day menu plus these holiday-inspired menu additions, beginning at 4 p.m.: 16-oz. South African lobster tail with Sauce Périgueux and yuzu compound butter, and 14-oz. bone-in filet Oscar-style with Dungeness crab, Béarnaise, truffle compound butter, and black truffle sauce. Don’t forget to ask about the special sparkling wines.
La Foret will serve both a four- and five-course meal on New Year’s Eve, starting at $155 and $175, respectively. Four courses gets you steak Diane, poached salmon and fruits de mer pasta for entrée choices; five-course offerings are ahi tuna, elk and seafood pasta, along with barbecue scallops and prawns, and Grand Marnier souffle for dessert.
Sunnyvale
Ring in the New Year in black tie style at Adrestia restaurant in the Tetra Hotel in Sunnyvale. Indulge in bluefin Otoro with shiso and caviar, Okinawa Soba with lobster and fragrant dashi, and wagyu “Rossini Style” with black truffle sauce. Peninsula
Chez TJ in Mountain View offers eight-courses by Executive Chef Alex Valentini, Executive Pastry Chef Lola Montelongo and the Chez TJ team, 5-8 p.m., $350 per person plus beverages. Enhance each dish with a wine pairing selected by sommelier Ted Merkel for an additional charge.
Flea Street in Menlo Park invites you to welcome in the New Year with a five-course dinner, beginning at 5 p.m. and starting at $185 per person.
Cetrella in Los Altos will offer a four-course menu for $125 per person, including an amuse bouche choice of chile relleno with tuna confit or root vegetable pave with truffle caviar; a starter course of winter salad or shellfish in broth; a pasta course of Kubota squash agnolotti and 12-layer lasagna. The Mountain House in Woodside celebrates New Year’s Eve with a three- or four-course menu, featuring potato leek soup with ruby prawns, venison carpaccio, grilled swordfish, roasted duck breast and wagyu strip loin. The three-courses menu will be served from 5-7 p.m., starting at $165 with beverage pairings at $72 per person. Village Bakery and Café in Woodside presents a four-course menu starting at $125, beginning with cheddar chive biscuits, followed by first course options of celery root soup, chicory and shaved persimmon salad, or tuna tartare, and mains of braised globe artichokes with trumpet mushrooms and savoy spinach, herb-roasted chicken, Dungeness crab cioppino or prime filet with green peppercorn sauce.
