The Year in Numbers
Momentous capsuleers,
As the year comes to a close, we look back at the year in EVE Online and celebrate capsuleer achievements, standout moments, and a lot of big numbers.
Legion Expansion
The Legion expansion introduced Freelance Jobs, letting capsuleers earn ISK and build reputation through player-created missions, while offering corporations a new way to grow. Two powerful new ships entered the battlefield: the Babaroga, a Triglavian marauder, and the Sarathiel, an Angel Cartel dreadnought. New sovereignty upgrades provided greater strategic control and flexibility, while corporation colors got a hex-coded upgrade. Here are the standout statistics for the Legion expansion:
Catalyst Expansion
The Catalyst expansion sparked a resource rush across New Eden with the discovery of prismaticite, harvested from phased asteroids. The mining experience was overhauled, with critical hits and mining mutaplasmids being introduced. O.R.E. debuted the Pioneer mining destroyer, along with a Consortium and Tech II variant, and the Sisters of EVE debuted a new vessel, the Odysseus-class expedition command ship. A new 2D starmap, PLEX transition logs, carrier updates, and access control lists for Freelance Jobs rounded out the expansion. Here are the standout statistics for the Catalyst expansion:
Alliance Tournament XXI
Congratulations are in order for the Tuskers Co., who emerged victorious for the second year in a row in Alliance Tournament XXI. See the AT wrap-up for all the juicy statistics. A total of 54 alliances participated in 140 matches for this year’s tournament. There were 711 kills worth an estimated total of 1.52 trillion ISK, with the most valuable flagship loss valued at 210.94 billion. And on the subject of expert marksmanship, congratulations are in order for the most valuable solo killmail – and commiserations for the most expensive ship loss.
Capsuleer Carnage
The capsuleer empires and communities have not stood still in 2025, be it fighting, moving, or political intrigue. There were major upsets, including the collapse of the storied PanFam coalition.
More Numbers, More Mayhem
