During a recent interview, Dwayne revealed a subtle way of being able to pay tribute to the late star in the upcoming movie.
“It was my idea to honor him in some way, and I didn’t know how to do it,” he told People on Wednesday (December 17). “And our costume designer, L.J. [Laura Jean Shannon] … goes, ‘What if I got the original dice [from the first movie]?’ And that’s what happened.”
In the upcoming movie, Dwayne will be seen wearing the dice on a necklace around his neck, as shared in a November Instagram post. “This one’s for you, Robin ????????????,” he wrote in the caption as they started production.
