Maybe later with the SE wind
Hello Friends,
Overcast skies greeted Monday’s arrival. The wind was coming from the WSW at 10-15 kts and out at sea, the MHL buoy data from 0600 showed 1.2 metres of 7-second NE wind bump. It’s not quite flat. You could catch a knee- to maybe waist-high one at the optimally aligned exposures.
The Bureau predicts that the swell will push up a little as the wind swings SE late this afternoon. So a giveth-and-taketh-away situation – bigger maybe but messier.
Tomorrow and Wednesday mornings could offer some waist-plusses at south exposures, but you’ll want to hit it early to beat the onshores.
The swell models continue to predict a 2+ metre south pulse on Christmas, but with stiff southerlies. And Boxing Day still looks ever so slightly hopeful for lighter but still onshore wind and south swell.
Have a great Monday everyone!
