Timotheé Chalamet and Esdeekid’s Crossover Has Finally Been Revealed
Timothée Chalamet spoke about the long-running rumor that he is secretly Liverpool-based rapper EsDeeKidin a recent interview with Heart Radio, promising "all will be revealed in due time" — and it looks like that time is now.
EsDeeKid, who has never revealed his face or full identity, appears to have a similar dark hair and piercing blue eyes as the double-Oscar-nominated actor. Chalamet, who has been open throughout his prolific career about his love for rap music, seemed a likely candidate, and has a proven track record of being fully committed to his characters.
The actor, 29, shared a snippet of a remix of EsDeeKid's song "4 Raws", adding his own flavor to the song, à la Lil' Timmy Tim (Timothée's rapper name as a high schooler).
Appearing side by side with EsDeeKid, Chalamet began his verse with "Lil Timmy Tim ‘bout 30," referring to the actor's upcoming milestone birthday on December 27th.
"It's Timothée Chalamet chillin'/tryna stack a hundred million/Girl got a billion," he continued, giving a shoutout to girlfriend Kylie Jenner. Jenner, as many will know, was named — rather controversially — as the world's youngest billionaire in 2019, aged just 21, in part due to her Kylie Cosmetics makeup empire.
"Since 2017, I'm livin' the dream," he continued, likely referring to his launch into the public eye since his highly acclaimed role as Elio Perlman in Call Me by Your Name (2017), which scored Chalamet his first Academy Award nomination for Best Actor in a Motion Picture, aged just 22.
"I'm gettin' the cream, I'm livin' on theme/I'm doin' my things, It's Marty Supreme," Chalamet added, referring to his ongoing press tour for Marty Supreme, the sports epic chronicling the life of real-life 1950s table tennis player Marty Reisman. So far, the tour has included being chaperoned by a gang of ping-pong balls, gifting Marty Supreme jackets to celebrities, and shouting out Susan Boyle as an inspiration for dreaming big — so who could possibly guess what happens next?
