'Punked': Ali G ridicules Trump with fake business pitch in resurfaced video

A newly resurfaced video shows spoof interviewer Ali G ridiculing now-President Donald Trump with a hysterical business pitch back in 2003.

The revived footage from British comedian Sacha Baron Cohen's satirical character was shared by X account Time Capsule Tales. It shows a "bizarre classic" interview with the then-businessman Trump, captured the same year that Trump reportedly sent a raunchy birthday letter to late financier and convicted child sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

In the sit-down interview, Baron Cohen — who has said the character tried to convince high-profile people he was "an idiot" before the cameras started rolling — sat next to Trump with a clipboard, and asked the business mogul what he should call him.

"You can call me Donald," Trump said.

"It's Trump, innit?" Baron Cohen responded.

"Right," Trump said.

"So how long has there been businesses?" Baron Cohen asked.

"Well, business started from the day one, from early in the world," Trump said. "Many, many years ago, hundreds of millions of years ago, people were doing business. And they were trading in rocks and stones and other things."

"Who would want to buy rocks?" Baron Cohen asked.

"I dunno man, you got to ask them that," Trump said, appearing to be somewhat annoyed by Baron Cohen's line of questioning.

And that's when Ali G dropped the business proposal.

"I've got some business idea that I want to tell you about, and I'd be a fool if..."

"Very quickly," Trump said, interrupting Baron Cohen and trying to speed up the interview.

"What is the most popular thing in the world?" Baron Cohen asked, pestering Trump again.

"Music?" Trump said.

"No," Baron Cohen responded.

"Tell me, Trump said.

"Ice cream. Everyone has it," Baron Cohen said. "And what is the problem with ice cream?"

"I have no idea," Trump said.

"It drips," Baron Cohen responded.

Trump suggested that it could be a good move to make a drip-proof ice cream. Baron Cohen responded, saying "brilliant idea."

"You ain't going to come out with that though," Baron Cohen said.

"No, I promise you I won't," Trump added.

Baron Cohen then revealed the genius concept: "Me idea is to come out with these ice gloves that make the ice cream not go on your hands and make it all sticky and also keep your hands warm when you was eating the ice cream."

"It sounds like a good idea and I hope you make a lot of money. Good luck folks, it's been nice seeing you. You take care of yourselves," Trump said, getting out of the chair before Baron Cohen had wrapped up the chat.

Ali G added that Diddy would also be involved in the business venture while Trump made his way off camera.

"OMG, I had NO Idea "Ali G" punked Trump," commented a viewer of the resurfaced footage, who calls himself Paddy O'Mugwump on X.
