ESPN personality would take Cam Boozer with No. 1 overall pick

The 2026 NBA Draft class is considered one of the deepest and most exciting draft classes in recent history. But the debate over which one of the top 3 prospects will go No. 1 will likely continue until the day of the actual draft.
ESPN personality Joe Lunardi would take Duke’s Cam Boozer with the No. 1 overall pick over BYU’s AJ Dybantsa.
“If I had the No. 1 overall pick… I think I would take Boozer,” Lunardi said. “But we’re talking about whether to take Magic or Larry Bird here.”
Boozer is leading the way for No. 3 Duke in his freshman year while averaging 23.3 points, 10.2 rebounds and 3.7 assists per game.
As of now, Boozer is considered the odds on favorite to win the Wooden award this season.
Dybantsa and Kansas’ Darryn Peterson are the other two prospects who could threaten to go No. 1 overall in the 2026 draft. In all likelihood it will come down to team preference and positional need.
