Trump Shores Up Base Support with Travel Restrictions
The Democrat Left doesn’t like it, some Independents don’t like it, and some Republicans don’t like it, but by adding to the list of countries with travel restrictions aimed at preventing the entry of foreign undesirables, President Trump is shoring up a base that’ll and subsume any possible Blue Wave in the 2026 midterms. Immigrant crime and terrorist violence, both in the United States and globally, is making the presidential call look prudent.
Trump’s blunders, like allowing dimwit White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles to sit down with Vanity Fair, and disingenuously claiming the tragic death of Rob Reiner was somehow linked with his politics, will pale in negatives when mall shootings, school shootings, church shootings, and terror plots thwarted are weighed in the midterm balance. That’s not to say that only immigrants commit these types of crimes—most immigrants aren’t a threat—but many of the undocumented perpetrators of these crimes weren’t vetted before allowed entry.
There are too many questionable non-citizens in the country, each of whose cases must be reviewed and adjudicated with the goal of ridding the nation of thousands of undesirables who represent a threat to U.S. communities. In the meantime, travel restrictions make sense.
The situation’s so bad right now that anyone who bothers to follow the news needn’t be apprised of the threat posed by immigrants who reject the foundations of western culture. Spin is rampant, with the left deflecting blame, and the right claiming the potential for catastrophe. The only conjoined factor is that the occurrences both stateside, in Europe and elsewhere, are too horrific to be overlooked.
The influx of foreign nationals has been the design of a global cabal seeking to usurp the sovereignty of the United States. Europe’s under siege as well, the only difference is that America has a [resident who’s trying to do something about the assault on western culture.
Minnesota Governor Tim Walz’s attempt to deflect from the Somali Swindle with epithets against Trump and the left’s all-inclusive boogeyman, “white men,” shows the extent of the ideological rot that in certain places passes for responsible governmental discourse.
If an exception could be made, regarding the countries on the restricted travel list, it would be Venezuela. With military action against narcoterrorism imminent, a no fly, no-entry policy makes sense. Maria Machado’s bold escape from the Maduro regime, and her praise of Trump, suggests that change is coming to a country that pre-Communism was a crown jewel of South America. It's possible possibility Venezuela could sooner rather than later be removed from the list. For the rest of the countries on the list, don’t hold your breath.
