Tara Reid Speaks Out After Police Close Investigation Into Her Drugging Claims
Tara Reid is breaking her silence following news that the police have closed their investigation into her claim that she was drugged.
On November 23, the 50-year-old American Pie actress was taken to the hospital after she claimed that someone drugged her drink while she visited a hotel bar outside of Chicago, Ill.
Amid their investigation into Tara‘s claims, police said that they reviewed security footage from the bar and saw that no one had tampered with her drink.
As of December 11, the Rosemont Police in Illinois have closed their investigation.

“We don’t want to say what she’s claiming is false,” the spokesperson stressed, noting there were periods of time “not seen” on the surveillance footage. However, they could only examine the evidence they had, which did not, to their estimation, show proof that Tara was drugged.
“That’s all we can do,” the spokesperson added.
In a new statement shared with People on Wednesday (December 17), Tara said that the whole experience has been “truly heartbreaking.”
“All of the bullying I have been subjected to since and everyone twisting reality without the facts they weren’t even there to witness is truly affecting my mental health and I need it to stop,” she added.
Tara also alleged that the surveillance footage doesn’t show her at the bar the whole time, adding that 33 minutes of the footage are unaccounted for.
“They are making it seem like I chugged all this wine at once and ended up on a stretcher but after reviewing the footage that is not what happened at all,” Tara continued in her statement. “In fact I witnessed in the footage when I arrived back from smoking with the person I only took one sip of wine in over 30 mins and when the bartender asked me if I wanted another drink I signalled no because I still had a drink I didn’t barely touch.”
While speaking to The Daily Mail, Tara said she was informed the investigation was closed due to lack of evidence. However, police would follow up if she provided any additional information.
If you missed it, Tara also recently responded to concerns about her appearance, calling it “bullying.”
