Hayley Kiyoko's Feature Film Directorial Debut 'Girls Like Girls' Gets 2026 Release Date
Hayley Kiyoko‘s upcoming movie Girls Like Girls is coming sooner than you think!
The 34-year-old singer/actress/author’s directorial debut was just announced to hit theaters in summer 2026.
He’s All That‘s Myra Molloy and Under the Bridge‘s Maya Da Costa are set to star.

The upcoming movie is based on Hayley‘s novel of the same name and is a “coming-of-age story set over the course of one sun-drenched summer, where new-girl-in-town Coley falls in love for the first time while learning to accept herself along the way.”
Hayley co-wrote the script with Stefanie Scott, who starred in the “Girls Like Girls” music video ten years ago. The movie will also feature new music from Hayley.
Wicked producer Marc Platt and BuzzFeed Studios’ Richard Alan Reid are among the producers on the upcoming film.
Focus Features’ Girls Like Girls is slated to hit theaters on June 19, 2026.
