City to redesign public spaces to make it adolescent friendly
Bhubaneswar is transforming its vacant spaces and public areas into "adolescent-friendly" zones, designed for teenagers to safely gather, relax, and express themselves. The World Resources Institute (WRI) India is training Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation engineers using tools like the Public Spaces Assessment Framework, incorporating insights from over 1,300 adolescents to co-create inclusive and engaging environments.
