Royal Insiders Say Prince George, Princess Charlotte, & Prince Louis Have ‘Impressive Poise’ for One Reason
When Kate Middleton and Prince William’s kids Prince George, 12, Princess Charlotte, 10, and Prince Louis, 7, attended the Princess of Wales’ annual Together at Christmas carol service last week, everyone noticed how grown-up the kids acted. (Especially Prince Louis!) Royal insiders recently commented on the trio’s “impressive poise,” which they credit to one specific reason.
Royal author Robert Jobson recently told Hello!, “George, Charlotte and Louis show impressive poise at public appearances, and they have developed a natural ease in front of cameras and crowds.” The reason for this? How their parents are raising them in their own modern way. “There’s no doubt that this has a lot to do with the way they have been brought up, and the modern monarchy that their parents are shaping,” he added.
Middleton has been very open about her parenting style and the importance of parenting kids in the early years. “The environment in which you bring up a child is as important as the experiences you engage them with,” Middleton said in an interview with Roman Kemp in 2023. “It’s not about the number of toys they’ve got or the number of sort of trips that you go on with them. It’s just making sure they have got the right emotional support around them and that comes from the adults in their lives.”
The relationship Middleton and William have built with their kids, unlike the traditional stand-offish relationship royals had with their kids before, is truly making a difference in their confidence levels. Jobson particularly noticed how much Prince George seems more confident now.
“George, in particular, having once looked quite shy and timid in these situations, seems increasingly self-assured,” Jobson told the outlet. “And perhaps it won’t be long until we see him giving a reading at one of his mother’s carol services.” How cool would that be?
