TikTok Star Tucker Genal Dead at 31: What We Know
TikTok star Tucker Genal died at age 31 on Thursday, December 11. His brothers, Connor Genal and Carson Genal, shared the tragic news via social media on Monday, December 15.
According to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner, Tucker died by suicide after hanging himself at a L.A. residence.
"I don’t even know where to begin, You were my best friend and an even better big brother, my entire life I’ve spent looking up to you and trying to follow in your footsteps because you were always my hero," Connor and Carson shared in a joint social media post. "I know one thing is for certain and that is that I will continue to spend the rest of my life looking up to you until we meet again. You were the kindest person I’ve ever met and the greatest brother that anyone could have ever asked for."
The brothers—who shared a joint TikTok profile under the username Hustle House—shared a series of photos with their late brother.
"During this incredibly difficult time, we respectfully ask for privacy as we mourn and begin to navigate life without him," they added in their Monday caption. "We are deeply grateful for the kindness and understanding shown to our family."
Tucker had amassed a following on TikTok of more than 2.5 million, with an additional 340,000 on Instagram. The Genal brothers rose to fame after their fun challenge competition videos went viral.
Before rising to fame, Tucker graduated with a degree in business administration from Furman University in 2018. He would go on to land a job as social media coordinator for sneaker artist Kickasso.
