Police Investigate Suspected Homicide at Home Owned by Filmmaker Rob Reiner in Los Angeles
Los Angeles police are investigating a suspected homicide after two people were found dead with apparent stab wounds at a home owned by filmmaker Rob Reiner.
Los Angeles police said on Monday they are investigating a suspected homicide after two bodies were discovered at a home owned by veteran Hollywood director and actor Rob Reiner.
Authorities said the victims, believed to be a man and a woman, were found with apparent stab wounds at the Brentwood property, an upscale neighborhood on the city’s west side.
U.S. media reported the deceased were aged 78 and 68, though police have not formally confirmed their identities or disclosed their relationship to the residence.
Investigators said the cause and timing of the deaths remain under investigation, and no arrests have been made. Police have also not indicated whether there was any sign of forced entry.
Officials declined to say whether Reiner was at the property when the bodies were found, citing the sensitivity of the ongoing investigation.
Detectives are examining forensic evidence and speaking with neighbors and potential witnesses to establish a clearer timeline of events.
Reiner, a prominent figure in American cinema, is best known for directing and acting in acclaimed films such as The Princess Bride, Stand by Me and When Harry Met Sally, and has not been accused of any wrongdoing.
