Rob Reiner's Wife, Michele Singer Reiner, Was a Photographer & Actress
Famed Hollywood director and "Meathead" actor Rob Reiner's wife, Michele Singer Reiner, was his second wife. She worked as a photographer, has screen credits to her name, and is the mother of three of his kids.
TMZand NBC Los Angelesreported on December 14 that two bodies were found at Reiner's Brentwood mansion that afternoon. TMZ is now reporting that the deceased are Reiner and his wife, Michele, and that they appear to have suffered knife wounds. CNN is reporting that authorities are in the early stages of their investigation, have made no arrests, and, although they are talking to a family member, they aren't considering anyone detained or a suspect.
Reiner was also married to the late actress and director Penny Marshall. Reiner and the Laverne & Shirley actress were married for 10 years, and he adopted her daughter, Tracy Reiner, according to People. Reiner and his second wife, Michele, had three children together — Jake, Nick, and Romy," according to Daily Variety.

Reiner's wife Michele has worked as a photographer and, according to Daily Variety, she has one very famous book cover credit to her name.
His wife, described as Michele Singer by Variety, "was at one time a photographer who shot Donald Trump’s photo for the cover of 'The Art of the Deal,'" the Hollywood trade publication reported.
According to TMZ, Rob Reiner met Michele while filming When Harry Met Sally.
In addition, Michele Singer Reiner has some screen credits to her name. That's according to her IMDb profile. She "is known for Misery (1990), Albert Brooks: Defending My Life (2023) and Mixed Nuts (1994)," IMDb reported. According to IMDb, the Reiners were married in 1989. Michele Reiner also has a profile page on Rotten Tomatoes that lists some screen credits, including work on Spinal Tap II. Rob Reiner, of course, directed some of Hollywood's best-known movies, from When Harry Met Sally to The Princess Bride.
The Los Angeles Times reported that Michele Singer Reiner "began producing films over the last decade, " listing some of the screen credits above. She "also produced God & Country, a look at Christian nationalism in the U.S.," The Times reported.
Three of the couple's kids - Nick, Romy, and Tracy - work in the film industry in different capacities. One, Nick, openly struggled with drug addiction. The fourth of their kids, Jake, has worked as a television news reporter. Rob Reiner Remembered His 1st Wife, Penny Marshall, Fondly
When she died, Reiner took to Twitter to post a tribute to his first wife Penny Marshall. According to People, in addition to being married for a decade, Reiner "adopted Marshall’s daughter Tracy. They have three grandchildren together." Tracy's biological father was Penny's first husband, an athlete named Michael Henry, according to People.
Reiner tweeted, “So sad about Penny.” In a second post, according to People, he elaborated on his fondness for Marshall. “I loved Penny,” he wrote. “I grew up with her. She was born with a great gift. She was born with a funnybone and the instinct of how to use it. I was very lucky to have lived with her and her funnybone. I will miss her.”
According to People, Reiner and Marshall married in 1971. “We grew up across the street in the Bronx but didn’t know each other,” she told People in 2012. “I loved him dearly.” Penny Marshall was 75 years old when she died in 2018. The cause of death was complications from diabetes.
