Re: Blues v Charlton - Teams and Match Thread
WR BluenewblueGo ahead and name these people who brook no criticism of Knighthead
Once again you're trying to change the context of what I said. I specifically stated that this aspect was happening when Rooney was the manager and was specifically in relation to people pointing out what a terrible decision it was to sack Eustace and replace him with Rooney.
newblueI wasn’t ‘mixing up’ two threads, just relating similar themes. I mean, it’s not too hard to retain a few things in your head.
Well what you wrote was incoherent word salad -
newblueBut what you are saying is nonsense. No ‘clique’
of same-minded people exist who say that Knighthead are beyond any criticism, who appear every time any criticism is made. Nor was the subject really about Eustace, despite your ‘besides’, and the decisions relating to that, it was about CD not performing well enough - in fact, badly enough that the next game is now huge as his position is in jeopardy.
Who said 'besides'? What does CD have to do with the clique discussion? What on earth are the above sentences supposed to mean?
newblueWhat is the group narrative?
'Was' not 'is'. The group narrative has been clarified to you multiple times. At the time of Rooney being manager the narrative was that nobody should criticise Knighthead for that decision because they had done so much for the club compared to BSHL. The counter-argument was that it was an appalling decision, it went totally against the 'world class' promise and it was likely to set us back years and possibly lead to relegation.
See you’re shifting position from clique’ to ‘group narrative’ now. Though there appears to be only me and poor old FB in this ‘group’ (what he’s done to offend your sensibilities I don’t know), and further restricting it to there just being a ‘group narrative’ at a particular time. Convenient as it can’t be really checked, doubly so as what you claimed doesn’t exist and never did. But your criticisms of there being a ‘clique’ don’t make any sense as you suggest a ‘group narrative’ response happens now, not just in the thread started by CoventryB but in this one too. You actually say that.
There were/are two threads running to which you contributed, supporting and making the claim that you can’t be critical of the owners, or other criticism such as criticising the manager on here without getting insulted or bullied; which is really what you are suggesting I do. In the other thread you supported the comment I made that the Original poster was being over dramatic in saying he thought the manager had very little time left and now the next game was ‘huge’. The slightly ironic thing being I was the one getting the insults.
Still waiting for you to name the other members of the clique. Or group. Or people who are just posters on here randomly associated by the accident of being blues supporters.
