Last Person Who Spoke to Charlie Kirk Ambushes Erika Kirk with ‘Gotcha’ Question About President Trump During CBS Town Hall (VIDEO)
Charlie Kirk’s widow, Erika Kirk, sat down for a CBS News town hall after an interview with Fox News host Harris Faulkner.
The town hall was moderated by CBS’s new editor-in-chief, Bari Weiss.
Erika Kirk said people who celebrate her husband’s assassination are “sick” and said the internet has dehumanized people.
“He’s a human being. You think he deserved that? Tell that to my 3-year-old daughter,” Erika Kirk said, fighting through tears.
“You want to watch in high-res the video of my husband being murdered, and laugh, and say he deserves it? There’s something very sick in your soul, and I’m praying that God saves you. I pray because that is what is so wrong….” she said.
The last person who spoke to Charlie Kirk, Utah Valley University student Hunter Kozak, ambushed Erika Kirk with a ‘gotcha’ question about President Trump.
Hunter Kozak describes himself as a ‘progressive.’
Kozak was about 5 to 10 feet away from Charlie Kirk when he was assassinated.
Hunter Kozak asked Erika Kirk if she would condemn Trump’s statements calling for the ‘Seditious Six’ Democrats to be hanged.
“Will you condemn the violent rhetoric of Donald Trump, the most powerful and influential person on earth?” Hunter Kozak asked Erika Kirk.
Erika Kirk was composed and did not mention President Trump as she said the issue is “so much deeper than one person.”
“You can choose to have evil in your heart, or you can choose to have light,” Erika Kirk said. “What you consume and what you absorb from the outside world will manifest itself.”
“Do you think our political leaders have a responsibility to turn the temperature down right now?” Bari Weiss asked.
“Well, I think everyone has a responsibility to do that, and I’m doing my part. I’m not in control of other people,” Erika Kirk said.
