MarinHealth nurses picket over staffing, benefits
About 270 registered nurses demonstrated in front of MarinHealth Medical Center in Greenbrae on Friday to draw attention to hospital staffing practices amid contract talks.
The nurses, represented by the California Association of Nurses/National Nurses United, have been negotiating with hospital management since June. Their issues include staffing shortages, employee retention and health care benefits, union leaders said.
Hospital leaders did not respond in time to a request for comment.
