Christmas is coming — and so is Golden State Pops holiday celebration
Few things can bring on the holiday spirit like Christmas music.
Tickets are now on sale for the Dec. 20 Golden State Pops Orchestra’s 2025 “Holiday POPS Spectacular” that will showcase some Hollywood magic along with the traditional favorites of the season.
This year’s concert is set for 8 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 20, at the Redondo Beach Performing Arts Center, 1935 Manhattan Beach Blvd., Redondo Beach.
Tickets start at $40.
Led by Maestro Steven Allen Fox with Resident Choir Maestra Marya Basaraba, with the orchestra and GSPO Chorale, the presentation weaves through festive favorites, Hollywood soundtracks and the timeless classics of the holidays.
While the lineup is subject to change, this year’s offerings include:
- Suite from The Polar Express;
- Home Alone’s Alan Silvestri’s score that captures the wonder of Christmas;
- John Williams’ nostalgic and joyful holiday music;
- Suite from the Nutcracker, Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky’s timeless ballet masterpiece;
- Finale from Beethoven’s 9th Symphony and “Ode to Joy”;
- “O Holy Night” arranged by Fox;
- “God Bless Us Everyone,” Alan Silvestri and Glen Ballard’s uplifting anthem arranged by William Ross; and
- And a Christmas sing-alone inviting the audience to join in.
Special guests include Bill Rogers and Camille Dixon, co-hosts and narrators; and Drew Tablak, guest vocalist.
