Are the Toronto Raptors the Best-Dressed NBA Team? These 5 Players Make A Good Case
The Raptors are, as of this being written, back. After a brutal few years of rebuilding, the crew has hit the 2025-26 NBA season like a bullet, tearing through most any competition and displaying renewed promise. With a new Raps season comes new Raps tunnel fits, and the boys have been getting some killer ones off since tipoff in October. There’s a stylish bunch hitting the court at Scotiabank Arena these days and they exist as part of a rich legacy of fashionable ‘fits in Toronto basketball.
From the early days of Vince Carter and Damon Stoudamire to modern day mavens like Scottie Barnes and Gradey Dick, the North has long been home to some of the best-dressed players in the league (and with Canadian sensation Shai Gilgeous-Alexander easily standing as the best of them all, we’ve gotta wonder if there’s something in the water up in Ontario). Read on for our picks for the best-dressed Toronto Raptors players of all time.
Serge Ibaka
I mean, we have to start with the artist himself. Ibaka brought a high-fashion mentality to his tunnel ‘fits during his years with the team, regularly kitting himself out in runway labels and streetwear alike. He’s also responsible for one of the most viral Raptors moments of all time, that being his back-and-forth with teammate OG Anunoby who, at the time, tried to take credit for Ibaka’s fondness for designer scarves. It was a moment, man — perhaps the greatest moment in Toronto sports style. For that alone, this list isn’t complete without Big Serge.
Gradey Dick
One of the current team’s young guns, you get the feeling Gradey Dick is the life of any party he’s invited to. The kid seems like he knows how to have fun, and he brings that sense of fun to his tunnel ‘fits. From his Ruby Red Slippers suit from his NBA Draft to drippy streetwear and killer adidas kicks, this is one player whose personal style isn’t to be slept on.
Vince Carter
Air Canada may have been in the league long before the days of the tunnel fit had taken over and the dude admittedly had to work with a pretty restrictive dress code during his Toronto years. Still, Vince Carter knew how to get dressed. His suits — often a requirement for players on their way to the arena — never felt stiff or ill-fitting, instead leaning into drape-y silhouettes to suit his frame. He took the same approach to his everyday wear, leaning into baggier fits and pleated pants. If any Raptors player is looking for the modern blueprint, it starts with Carter.
RJ Barrett
One of Canada’s finest, RJ Barrett has fit the Raptors like a glove since coming back home in 2024. Dude may have honed his sense of style in New York, admittedly one of the fashion capitals of the world, but he’s really blossomed sartorially speaking in Toronto. His style tends to skew on the streetwear side but Barrett has been known to throw on designer sweaters here and there and also happens to have a pretty unparalleled jacket game. From bombers to parkas, man knows how to stay toasty warm while looking hot.
DeMar DeRozan
DeRozan may hail from Los Angeles but the guy is an honorary Torontonian for his time with the Raptors. He’s easily one of the most important players in franchise history, and while the way he dressed had little to do with that it certainly added to the aura. DeMar could do it all, from a coat game that made you forget he grew up in the California heat to West Coast-influenced streetwear, pairing boxy flannels with dope vintage tees and sumptuous sweats that make you wish the athleisure era were still going strong. And let’s not forget his sweatsuits, most of which had him looking better than half the guys in tuxes on the Oscars red carpet. You can’t write the story of the Raptors without DeRozan, and you can’t talk about the best-dressed Raptors of all time without bringing him into the conversation.
