Prince Louis’ Did One Thing at Kate Middleton’s Caroling Event That Shows How Much He’s Grown
When we saw pictures of 7-year-old Prince Louis with his older siblings Prince George, 12, and Princess Charlotte, 10, over the weekend, we had to do a double take. How is that cheeky toddler with the best facial expressions so grown up?! The royal trio attended the annual “Together at Christmas” carol concert hosted by their mom Kate Middleton on Friday, and one thing the youngest royal did put in perspective how much he’s changed this year.
The event, also attended by Prince William, was pictured using his candle to light another concertgoer’s candle, with his mom and sister doing the same on either side of him, per Hello! He carefully lights the candle during the event, looking prim and proper in a black suit that matched his older brother’s.
This is a stark contrast to how Prince Louis behaved at the Westminster Abbey holiday concert two years ago. During this event, photographers captioned a moment when the young prince leaned over to blow out his sister’s candle. Middleton laughed off the moment, which fits with what royal insiders have said about her youngest child’s antics.
“William and Kate are easier on Louis because he’s the baby of the family,” an insider previously told OK. “They don’t want to break his little spirit. William and Kate do their best to teach him how to behave, but understand these events are tiresome for a youngster.”
Still, now that he is two years older, it seems that Louis has learned how to behave out in public, and he was on his best behavior this year. He even joined his family for a visit to the “Connection Tree,” where they had to write their names on a loop on a paper chain on the tree to symbolize the power of togetherness.
Princess Charlotte looked super festive at the outing, wearing a navy blue, velvet dress with a white collar that looks like a mini version of the exact dress her late grandmother Princess Diana wore at the Royal Festival Hall in Dec. 1981. (See the photos HERE.)
It seems like the whole royal family had a wonderful time at this event getting into the Christmas spirit. Although, it’s bittersweet to see how much Prince Louis has grown. Hopefully he still has that playful, silly side at home!
