Supercomputer predicts Tottenham’s Premier League finish after 2-0 win over Brentford

Tottenham Hotspur are slowly but surely inching up the Premier League table predicted by Opta’s Supercomputer.

Following Tottenham’s loss at home against Fulham a little over a week ago, it seemed all doom and gloom for the Lilywhites.

There appeared to be a growing disconnect between Spurs fans and the players, and there were even calls for Thomas Frank to be sacked.

However, two good results against Newcastle and Brentford in back-to-back matches have calmed the situation down a little, and the results have seen the North Londoners inch up Opta’s prediction table.

Tottenham move up two places in Opta’s prediction table in a week

Ahead of their trip to the North East, Opta’s algorithm had Spurs finishing in 12th place this season.

After Tottenham’s 2-2 draw at St James’ Park, the supercomputer revised its prediction, backing the Lilywhites to finish in 11th place.

Opta’s algorithm has now revised its assessment once again following Tottenham’s dominant display against Brentford.

Following the 2-0 win against the Bees, Thomas Frank’s men have now moved up to 10th place in the prediction table, with an expected points tally of 53.69 points.

Tottenham Hotspur fans will be hoping that the Lilywhites can beat Slavia Prague to make it back-to-back home wins, and that will go a long way towards solving the problematic atmosphere at their home ground.

Thomas Frank has admitted that he is closer to finding his strongest Spurs eleven every week, as he gets a better understanding of his players’ strengths and weaknesses.

The Dane will be hoping that this is the start of a turnaround, while the Tottenham supporters would be hopeful that the team’s performance on Saturday convinces the 52-year-old to take the handbrakes off more often.
