Jennifer Lopez Made a Final Decision About Ben Affleck Amid Reports Their Kids Are ‘Begging’ Them to Give Each Other ‘Another Chance’
So much for Bennifer 3.0. Jennifer Lopez has seemingly removed her tattoo for Ben Affleck a year after their divorce.
Lopez, who married Affleck in 2022, debuted the ink on Valentine’s Day 2023 with a photo of an infinity sign on her rib cage with an arrow shooting through it and her and Affleck’s names. Affleck, for his part, also got a matching tattoo of two arrows with a “J” and “B” for his and Lopez’s first names.
After two years together, Lopez filed for divorce from Affleck in August 2024. She sparked rumors that she had removed her tattoo for him a month later when she walked a red carpet in a dress with two cut-out sides, however, photos later revealed that the ink was covered by makeup.
However, fast forward to May 2025, and photos of Lopez in a backless dress at the American Music Awards seemed to have confirmed that she started the removal process for the ink. A source also claimed to Deux Moi that Lopez covered the tattoo with a hummingbird. “Jlo covered up Ben’s name on her tattoo. She put a hummingbird in place of his name. Fans don’t know exactly when she covered up the tattoo, but they noticed the change in July/August of this year,” the source said.
Rumors of Lopez’s tattoo removal also come after Radar Online reported that Lopez and Affleck’s kids are begging them to give their relationship “another chance” following their reunion at the premiere of Lopez’s movie, Kiss of the Spider Woman, in October. Affleck shares his children — daughter Violet and sons Fin and Samuel — with his ex-wife, Jennifer Garner. Lopez, for her part, co-parents twins Max and Emme with her ex-husband, Marc Anthony.
“That’s gone a long way with Ben’s kids, and what they’d like more than anything, as would J.Lo’s kids, is to see Bennifer 3.0,” the insider said. The source continued, “J.Lo had a wonderful time with Ben and says he’s as sexy and wonderful as ever. In her mind, they’re destined to be together again, plain and simple. She’s believed that all along and now she’s even more convinced that it’s a case of when, not if, it’s going to happen.”
Lopez, for her part, shut down a question about whether she and Affleck were back together on The Today Show in October when host Craig Melvin brought up that she and Affleck walked the red carpet together at the premiere of Kiss of the Spider Woman. “In the middle of filming this elaborate, beautiful musical, your divorce was also finalized, with Ben…” Melvin said before Lopez cut him off. “There you go! Look at this guy!” she said.
When Melvin brought up that Affleck was a producer on the film, Lopez responded, “If it wasn’t for Ben, the movie wouldn’t have gotten made. And I will always give him that credit.” She also confirmed that her and Affleck’s split didn’t impact the film’s production. “Yeah, things happen, you have to keep going,” she continued, adding that the movie helped her through the “difficult” time in her life.
“It’s funny, the movie is about escapism. It’s about how movies and art save us in the hardest times of our lives,” she continued. “Doing this project was such a dream come true for me that it really got me through to kind of survive a moment that was difficult in my personal life as well.”
