66-year-old woman dies in Sunday afternoon Union Parish crash
DOWNSVILLE, La. (KTVE/KARD) — A West Monroe woman died in a single-vehicle crash in Union Parish Sunday afternoon, authorities said.
The crash claimed the life of Sharon Wilhite, 66, of West Monroe.
Louisiana State Police Troop F began investigating a fatal single-vehicle crash shortly before 4 p.m. Sunday on La. 145, just south of La. 15.
Investigators said a 2012 Ford Mustang driven by Wilhite was traveling north on La. 145 when it ran off the right side of the road and struck a tree.
Wilhite died at the scene. Although impairment is not suspected, routine toxicology samples were collected and will be submitted for analysis.
This crash remains under investigation.
