Two hospitalized after deer collision on I-70 in Shawnee County
TOPEKA (KSNT) - Two women were seriously injured after a vehicle hit a deer and rolled over in Shawnee County.
On Saturday, a 71-year-old woman was driving a Kia Soul west on I-70 and hit a deer, causing them to lose control and land in a ditch. The car went into a ditch and rolled several times, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol (KHP).
The driver and a 66-year-old woman passenger were both seriously injured and taken to an area hospital. They were both wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash, according to the KHP.
