Yankees Trolled by Blue Jays Slugger After Loss in Hilarious Viral Clip
It's a bad day to be a New York Yankees player — past or present.
Following a disappointing 5-2 loss to the Toronto Blue Jays in game four of the American League Division Series (ALDS), Jays' slugger Vladimir Guerrero Jr. joined Fox Sports live from his team's locker room in the Bronx, where the Frank Sinatra hit, "New York, New York," played amidst champagne showers. Strike one.
Studio analyst, Red Sox great and therefore longtime foe of the Yankees, David Ortiz, asked Vladdy Jr., who donned ski goggles and a headset, how he was feeling after the win.
"DAAAAAA Yankees lose," he said theatrically, much to Ortiz's shock—and eventual amusement. Standing by in the studio were fellow Fox analysts, and former Yankee's all-stars, Derek Jeter and Alex Rodriguez, both mortified at the commentary. Strike two.

Guerrero Called Back to a Classic Ortiz Moment
In 2017, following a Yankees playoff loss, Ortiz was asked to deliver the outcome of the game on Fox Sports a la John Sterling, the play by play commentator who would famously exclaim, "Theeeeee Yankees win!" following a successful outing.
Except of course, the Yankees didn't win that game, and "Big Papi," as Ortiz is affectionally called, took great pleasure in changing that phrase and yelling "DAAAAAA Yankees lose." Since then, it's become a part of Ortiz's vernacular, repeated when his least favorite ball club takes a L.

Papi was floored at Guerrero Jr.'s impersonation of himself on-air Wednesday night. Rubbing salt in the wound, Vladdy Jr. and Ortiz sang the damning phrase in unison, much to the chagrin of Jeter and Rodriguez, over and over again. Strike three.

Ortiz continued the celebration on Fox, celebrating with a sombrero, saying he'd see the Yankees in Cancún, Mexico, now that they'd officially started the off-season. Jeter and Rodriquez's begrudgingly laughed.
What's Up Next for the Blue Jays
The Blue Jays will play the winner of the Detroit Tigers and Seattle Mariners series for the American League pennant.
