Halfmoon man arrested on child sex abuse charge
HALFMOON, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The Saratoga County Sheriff's Office reported the arrest of a Halfmoon man after a sex crime investigation. David Rivera, 32, was charged with first-degree sexual abuse.
Rivera is accused of forcefully touching a child in a sexual manner on Park Place in Halfmoon just before 9 p.m. on Saturday. The victim was allegedly younger than 11 years old, according to detectives.
Rivera was arraigned in Clifton Park Town Court after being taken into custody by deputies. He was then released on his own recognizance ahead of further proceedings at Halfmoon Town Court.
