Mets Minors Recap: Mitch Voit Delivers Monster Game
Mets’ 2025 first-round pick Mitch Voit highlighted the farm system Tuesday with his first professional home run—just his third extra-base hit—while reaching base five times in St. Lucie’s 11-6 win. The 20-year-old has now extended his on-base streak to eight games, although his OPS remains modest at .617 through 19 games.
Triple-A
Syracuse Mets (67-66) 3, Buffalo Bison (54-75) 4
- DH Jose Siri, 1-for-5, 4 K (.400 OPS)
- LF Ryan Clifford, 2-for-3, RBI, BB, K (.774 OPS)
- CF Carson Benge, 1-for-3, 2 RBI, K (.646 OPS)
The Syracuse Mets fell to the Buffalo Bisons, 4-3, on a walk-off home run Tuesday night. Jose Siri made his first rehab appearance with Syracuse—his fourth overall—since suffering a lower leg injury in April.
- RHP Tylor Megill (4.15 ERA), 4 IP, 6 H, 3 ER, 2 BB, 5 K
Tylor Megill is nearing a return to the Mets’ pitching staff, which is in need of stability and length from its starters. With Kodai Senga and Sean Manaea struggling, Megill figures to play a key role down the stretch.
Hard thrower Dylan Ross tossed two scoreless innings, lowering his Triple-A era to 2.08.
Double-A
Binghamton Rumble Ponies (83-42) 6, Akron RubberDucks (71-55) 1
- CF A.J. Ewing, 3-for-5, RBI, K (.900 OPS)
- RF Nick Morabito, 2-for-5, R, 2B, RBI, 2 K (.734 OPS)
At just 21 years old, Ewing is thriving at his third level in 2025. Although his slugging has dipped in Double-A, he’s reaching base at a strong clip of .419 and has already stolen 68 bases this season.
- LHP Jonathan Santucci (2.80 ERA), 6 IP, 6 H, 1 ER, 0 BB, 6 K
2024 draft pick, Jonathan Santucci, has settled in after early-season struggles, posting stronger numbers in Double-A than he did at High-A. He’s quickly emerging as another fast-rising college arm in a Mets system that continues to churn out pitching talent.
High-A
Brooklyn Cyclones (71-56) 3, Jersey Shore BlueClaws (59-64) 4
- 3B Colin Houck, 1-for-4, 2 K (.579 OPS)
- 2B Nick Roselli, 1-for-4, 2B (.496 OPS)
After making strong progress in Low-A St. Lucie, Houck has hit another wall at High-A. The former first-round pick owns a 72:18 K:BB ratio and is slugging just .303 through 51 games with Brooklyn.
- RHP Hoss Brewer (2.57 ERA), 1 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 0 K
Brewer delivered once again Tuesday night, despite not recording a strikeout. Through 39 outings in 2025, he carries a 9.49 K/9.

Low-A
Fort Myers Mighty Mussels (49-72) 6, St. Lucie Mets (76-50) 11
- 2B Mitch Voit, 3-for-3, 4 R, HR (1), 3 RBI, 2 BB
- 1B Randy Guzman, 1-for-4, R, 2B, BB, K (1.028 OPS)
Voit connected for his first professional home run Tuesday and reached base five times. The Mets’ 2025 first-round pick has now extended his on-base streak to eight games. He also stole four bases, giving him 15 in 19 games for St. Lucie.
- RHP Elwis Mijares (0.00 ERA), 1.2 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 3 K
Mijares has yet to allow a run since arriving stateside in late August. His fastball sits in the mid-90s and produced six whiffs on just 20 pitches. Luis Alvarez tossed two scoreless innings, striking out four, and hit 100 mph with his fastball.
