1 dead, 2 injured after motorcycle crash in Queensbury
QUEENSBURY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- One person is dead and two others injured following a car versus motorcycle crash in Queensbury on Sunday, according to New York State Police. The incident reportedly occurred on State Route 9L.
State Police troopers responded to the crash at about 11:06 a.m. An investigation reportedly found that a sedan traveling southbound was turning left into a business when a southbound motorcycle attempted to pass on the left, hitting the car as it turned.
According to State Police, the motorcycle's operator, identified as 18-year-old Austin Pagan of Queensbury, was ejected from the vehicle and severely injured. He was pronounced dead at the scene, authorities said.
Two pedestrians in the parking lot of the business were also reportedly hit by Pagan and the motorcycle. The two were taken to a local hospital for what appeared to be non-life-threatening injuries, according to officials.
An investigation into the crash remains ongoing. State Police said that the driver of the sedan has been cooperative, and no charges have been filed at this time.
