Cooler at Oregon Coast, Willamette Valley on Sunday
PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) -- Clouds increased into the early morning hours of Sunday along the Oregon Coast and in parts of the Willamette Valley and will continue at times as a weak weather system slides across the area.
This system will linger over the area Sunday night and through the first half of Monday before moving off to the south and east. The chances of any measurable rain are slim, outside of the coast.
Expect cooler high temperatures ranging from 60s along the coast to the 70s in the valley.
Fire crews are still continuing to battle two significant fires in the region. Westerly winds will continue to blow through the Columbia River Gorge, coupled with low relative humidity and temperatures in the 80s.
Looking ahead, more heat will build across the region by mid-week with temperatures going back above normal. No rain on the horizon for the next 7 days as the dog days of summer continue.
